Sonardyne Inertial Navigation System combine fiber-optic gyroscopes with accelerometers to provide a highly accurate navigation solution. They provide real-time information on attitude, roll, pitch, heading and speed. They are dedicated to all types of applications, whatever the complexity of the environment (marine, underwater, land, etc.) and the dynamics of the mobile (AUV, service vessel, off-road vehicle, etc.).

The Sonardyne Inertial Navigation System features high-precision sensors for high-performance navigation. They are capable of maintaining positions in the event of loss of GNSS signals, while providing ultra-precise attitude and heading information.
The integrated technology (FOG, HRG) in these Inertial Navigation System, also known as “North Seekers” for gyrocompasses, provide True Heading data accurate to a tenth of a degree, whatever the complexity of the environment (over water, under water, underground…) and dynamics (AUV, service vessel, off-road vehicle…).
When combined with Sonardyne’s USBL acoustic positioning systems, for example, such as the Ranger 2 system, underwater positioning accuracy is considerably improved, especially for vehicles such as ROVs or AUVs.
