R2Sonic ranges evolve

In 2023, manufacturer R2Sonic unveiled new multibeam sounder ranges. There are now 3 sensor ranges: V-Series, V-Series PLUS and Voxomoter – R2Sonic.

OT128 Lidar - Hesai

The new generation of Lidar combines performance and reliability with the new OT128 model. With its connectors specially designed for integration in autonomous vehicles, it’s the ideal sensor for Level 4* autonomous driving: robotaxi, robotruck, robobus, Last Mile Delivery, V2X technology, Port Automation.

CADDEN is the French distributor in Europe for Hesai’s Lidars.

ROV mini Lite - MarineNav

A new addition to the MarineNav range of underwater drones is the ROV Mini Lite.

Lightweight (< 10 kg) and compact (H27.3 x W52.1 x W27.9 cm), it comes with a removable touchpad to control the ROV for ship and infrastructure inspection. It is also ideal for locating and aiding recovery of ghost gear, or visual documentation of evidence.

We have strengthened our ties with our suppliers

Suppliers R2Sonic, QPS and OceanAlpha visited our premises to consolidate our partnerships and present future projects. Part of our team travelled to Sonardyne’s premises in England to attend a week dedicated to distributors and discover the manufacturer’s ranges.

Our solutions and team in action

Throughout the year, our team has been busy carrying out real-life tests of our sensors, demonstrations of our solutions and training our customers.

Our clients with our solutions

ID OCEAN carries out deep-sea bathymetry for the Reunion University Hospital's SWAC project

On Reunion Island, the need for permanent air conditioning is a major challenge. This is why projects such as SWAC (Sea Water Air Conditioning) are one of the solutions proposed to achieve total electrical autonomy by 2030.

Commissioned by VALUE PARK, ID OCEAN was called in to complete the first bathymetric survey of the coastal zones where the system is to be installed. Using the R2Sonic 2022 multibeam echosounder supplied by CADDEN, the hydrographers performed a technical feat at great depths, and the data obtained is incredible.

WSB AG equips itself with a USV200 for its hydraulic engineering assignments

After numerous dissatisfactions with the data obtained from various engineering companies, WSB AG was looking for a solution to obtain accurate and reliable data.

The company quickly discovered the USV200 and was immediately won over by its compact, easy-to-maneuver design. It was the ideal solution for their needs. The size of the USV200 is specially designed to navigate in all environments: old gravel pit, river, lake, harbor basin, etc.

LAMIH integrates a Lidar on a vehicle to study driving aids in vehicles

LAMIH is a “Laboratoire d’Automatique, de Mécanique et d’Informatique Industrielles et Humaines”. It is a joint research unit of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF) and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). Among the laboratory’s many themes is that of “man-machine cooperation” in the automotive driving sector.

After teaming up with FH Electronics, they developed a prototype “cooperating vehicle” based on a DS7 (Stellantis). This is programmed to replicate the simulations carried out with SHERPA in real-life situations, and the use of Lidar is essential for testing under these conditions. Already equipped with a Lidar, LAMIH wanted to explore new options and, following comparative tests, selected the Hesai XT32 Lidar supplied by CADDEN.

We met at trade fairs

Our sales and technical teams were present at several trade fairs throughout the year to present our bathymetry and navigation solutions: USV100, USV200, BALI, BANANAS and ANANAS.

A second life for GNSS equipment

CADDEN recovers its customers’ old equipment and takes great pride in giving it a second life.

At the end of 2023, CADDEN donated GNSS receivers and antennas to the Topo Sans Frontières (TSF) association for redistribution during their missions. During 2024, this equipment will be sent to schools in Madagascar, for example, where students will also be trained in surveying and the use of GNSS equipment.

Many thanks to Gabin BOURLON, president of the Topo Sans Frontières association (not pictured), Antoine Maroquin, a volunteer with the association, and Romain Voyer, a member of the team that will be leaving for Guatemala.

On CADDEN's side

They arrived in 2023

This year, Silbana – Sales and Administrative Assistant and Solana – Technical Support Engineer have joined the CADDEN team.

Successful rollout of new ERP

After working with Odonates, we selected the 1Life Group solution in 2022.

This investment of choice for CADDEN’s development finally came to fruition with the deployment of our new ERP in the summer of 2023.

This objective is part of the PLUG IN program. Led by the EMC2 cluster, this program is in partnership with the CCI Nantes St-Nazaire and initiated by Nantes Métropole and Saint-Nazaire et agglomération.

Annual seminar and Christmas party

During the summer, CADDEN members took part in the annual seminar celebrating the company’s 24th anniversary. The event took place on the Noirmoutier peninsula for a convivial day in the heart of nature: a bike ride to discover the peninsula, a picnic in the forest and paddle-boarding.

In December, the whole team got together to celebrate Christmas. The program included a team-building afternoon with various workshops and games, a laser game activity and dinner at the Moïa restaurant in Nantes.
